About Us

History

Edwina Reid NeuroPhysiotherapy Services was established in January 2001.

The principal Physiotherapist, Edwina Reid has been working in the specialised area of Neurological Physiotherapy since May 1984 and completed her Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy in 1999. She has worked in Australia and England in both the community and hospital setting, and undergone extensive clinical training in Bobath therapy and has taught with an internationally recognised Physiotherapist on courses throughout Australia.

She developed an interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation in 2002 and has worked in this clinical field since then. Edwina has completed her Accreditation in the area of Vestibular Physiotherapy, and the treatment of patients with dizziness and balance issues is an extensive part of the practice.

Physiotherapists

NeuroPhysiotherapy Services has eight physiotherapists all with extensive Neurological and /or Vestibular Rehabilitation experience in both the clinical and community setting.  

  • Kate Seeliger has been with the practice since 2003 and has extensive clinical and theoretical training in both Neurological and Vestibular Rehabilitation with accreditation at an advanced level in the treatment of vestibular dizziness and balance disorders.
  • Victoria Veitch joined in 2007 and has accreditation in Vestibular Rehabilitation and extensive Neurological training. Victoria adds an extra dimension to the practice with her excellent dry needling work which compliments her clinical results in both Neurological patients and pain management.
  • Rachel Dempsey is a Principal Physiotherapist, Stroke Rehabilitation at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and has been with the practice since 2012. She works at our practice two days a week in the rooms with both Neurological and Vestibular patients and is also accredited in her training of Vestibular physiotherapy.
  • Anna Miles has been with the practice since 2017 and has worked in Neurological rehabilitation for over 15 years with a special interest in brain injury and stroke. She became an accredited Vestibular physiotherapist in 2009.
  • Nikki Burgess joined the team in 2018 after helping to develop the physiotherapy department of a community-based brain injury specialist team. With a background in both Neurological and Musculoskeletal / sports physiotherapy, Nikki brings a strong focus on concussion and the varying severities of traumatic brain injury.
  • Penny Fisher joined the practice in 2019 and has more than 18 years experience working in neurological rehabilitation, particularly in the areas of stroke, spinal cord injury and more recently, Parkinson's Disease. She is passionate about helping patients to maximise their potential and stay moving well so they can live well. Penny works exclusively with patients in their own homes or aged care facilities.

To strive towards being the very best Neurological and Vestibular Physiotherapy practice in South Australia by providing the most up-to-date expertise and care of the individual patient and their carers. 

To ensure a safe, personalised treatment program at our rooms or within the comfort of the patient’s home, and liaise closely with medical and allied health professionals involved in the patient rehabilitation, to optimise patient centred care.
