Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24 hours' advanced notice for all appointment cancellations. Should you need to cancel an appointment, please ring the rooms. If we do not receive notice of your appointment cancellation at least 24 hours before your appointment, a $55 cancellation fee will be charged.

If we receive notice of your cancellation fewer than 4 business hours before your scheduled appointment time, or you fail to attend your scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full fee of your appointment will be charged.

We will offer your appointment time to patients on our waiting list and should we fill the appointment slot, the cancellation fee may be waived.

Patients under the Return to Work SA or other third party scheme, please note that you are personally financially responsible for any short notice cancellations (fewer than 4 business hours) or appointment non-attendance, as per our policy. Please be aware your out-of-pocket expense is to be paid in full before your next session.

Do I need a referral?

In most cases, you do not need a referral to see our physiotherapists. Often, it is helpful for the physios to have a written history to refer to during your initial assessment, however it is not strictly necessary.

Can I get an appointment before/after hours?

Please ring our rooms and let our reception staff know you would prefer these times for your appointments and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Do you do home visits?

We do. We offer home visits from several of our physiotherapists most days of the week. Please ring the rooms to speak with our reception staff and discuss options.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Private Health Funds

If you have a private health fund with extras, we can make a claim for you on the day using our HICAPS machine. There will most likely be a gap payment due.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We are a NDIS registered service provider who pride ourselves on our commitment to our NDIS participants and their network. Please let reception know if you are an NDIS participant.

Medicare

Neurophysiotherapy Services accepts Chronic Disease Management plans written by your doctor (also known as EPC) which entitles you to a subsidy by Medicare for up to five physiotherapy visits per year. The client is responsible for the full fee on the day and the care plan can be used to cover a portion through a rebate onto a debit card, which we can process here on the day in our rooms.

Third Party

We are happy to treat clients covered by a third party such as Return to Work SA (RTWSA), Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Department Veteran Affairs (DVA). Please notify our reception staff if you intend to fund your appointment fees through a third party, so we can gather the appropriate details before your initial assessment.

Self-Funded

We also see patients who are self-funded. We accept cash, EFTPOS or credit card for the payment. We do not accept American Express.

Where can I park?

We have dedicated off street parking in front of our building for your convenience.

What should I wear to my initial assessment?

The simple answer is whatever you’re comfortable wearing. Clothing that is loose fitting or otherwise easy to move in is preferred, as are shoes that you are comfortable in.

What is your Covid-19 policy?

We follow the latest guidance from SA Health and are mindful to protect our most vulnerable patients. Masks are currently mandatory in the rooms and we request that only patients wait in the waiting area in order to properly socially distance.
